Section 01
Physiological Basis for Post-Treatment Care
Glassifier treatment uses spicules to penetrate the skin and deliver GHK peptides directly into the epidermis. As spicules physically enter the skin, the skin barrier is transiently weakened and a mild immune response may be activated. Post-treatment care is therefore essential to support the skin through this natural recovery process.
Immune Response & Barrier Disruption
Research paper excerpt
"After the treatment, immune cells infiltration, either leukocyte or granulocyte, in the upper dermis were observed." This indicates that a transient acute immune response can be activated as the skin reacts to spicule penetration.
Zhang, S., et al. Mol. Pharmaceutics, 2017
Patients may experience temporary redness, itching, stinging, tightness, and micro-flaking. These are not adverse events — they are the skin's natural physiological responses.

Recovery Care & Precautions
Hydration & Barrier Support D-Day → Day 3+
Apply IDENEL Locking Cream & AI Cream (ceramides & PDRN) within 24 hrs
!
Dryness, itching, flaking are normal — do not scratch or force removal
Avoid active ingredients during recovery: retinol, vitamin C, AHA / BHA / PHA
Sun Protection 72 hrs critical
Apply sunscreen consistently throughout recovery
!
First 72 hrs especially critical — micro-channels remain open post-treatment
i
Fitzpatrick III–VI: maintain strict sun protection throughout full recovery
Additional Precautions
🚫 Chemical peels & exfoliants
⚠️ Steroid ointments — consult clinician if severe
🚫 Open wounds or active infections
🚫 Friction on treated areas
💡 Patch test for sensitive skin

Ingredient Guide: What to Use & What to Avoid
As the skin barrier is transiently compromised following treatment, ingredient selection plays a critical role in supporting recovery.
✓ Recommended
CeramideRestores lipid barrier; prevents TEWL
PDRNSupports regeneration & anti-inflammatory response
PanthenolSupports cell recovery & barrier function
MadecassosideSuppresses pro-inflammatory mediators
Beta-sitosterolAlleviates itching via cytokine suppression
AllantoinSoothes and alleviates discomfort
Hyaluronic AcidMaintains hydration during recovery
EctoinCellular protection & anti-inflammatory
Beta-glucanBarrier strengthening & hydration
SqualaneSupports barrier recovery & hydration
GlutathioneAntioxidant defense; supports recovery outcomes
✕ Avoid
Retinol / Retinoids
Vitamin C (pure / high concentration)
AHA / BHA / PHA
High-alcohol formulations
Products containing Capsaicin or Camphor
Other spicule-containing products
These ingredients may cause unnecessary irritation or interfere with skin recovery following treatment.
